Basic Jig

Hi everyone!

Here's a simple, beginner jig. Jig's are a common Irish dance, but nearly every Irish dancer could tell you that they are the most boring a redundant dance you could ever dance. But, they're useful to know for those shows where all you want to do is mindlessly dance! Here's a simple, revamped universal step that you could use.

Music

Step:
Point hop back, hop back 2,3,4
Point hop back, switch cut 2,3,4
Hop over 2,3, hop back 2,3,4,
Finish hop back, hop back 2,3,4

Break Down:

Point hop back, hop back 2,3,4 (RIGHT FOOT point to LEFT KNEE, hops back to hits bum, lands in back, LEFT FOOT comes up to hit bum, step: forward, back, forward [weight on RIGHT FOOT])
Point hop back, switch cut 2,3,4 (LEFT FOOT comes forward to a front point, hops back, RIGHT FOOT comes up to a switch while LEFT FOOT comes to a cut, LEFT FOOT steps: forward, back, forward [weight on LEFT FOOT])
Hop over 2,3, hop back 2,3,4 (RIGHT FOOT hops front, steps: forward, back; RIGHT FOOT hops back, steps: forward, back, forward)
Finish hop back, hop back 2,3,4 (RIGHT FOOT kicks out in front, goes back into a hop, steps: back; LEFT FOOT goes back in to a hop, steps: back, front, back, front [weight on RIGHT FOOT])

Yay! Jig points are now awarded for even knowing how to sing a jig! Congrats.
