Basic Treble Reel

If you're new to Irish dancing, you'll probably want to learn a treble reel! Treble reels are used throughout the Irish dancing community as a group dance. They are relatively easy once you get the hang of it. Just remember: When dancing the treble reel, it's all about fun!

For our first step, we're going to use a universal treble reel, sometimes referred to as the 'competition step'. This is a great step to learn for a first treble reel, and can be used later to 'try out' music once you get more comfortable in Irish dancing. Please remember that if you are a more experienced dancer, this step is commonly used ALL OVER THE WORLD, and is not exclusive to any school!
